Singapore, 18 July 2012 – ST Engineering President & CEO Tan Pheng Hock received recognition for excellence in corporate leadership, winning Best Chief Executive Officer (market cap of $1 billion and above) in the Singapore Corporate Awards 2012 held on 17 July 2012.
The Best CEO Award recognises CEOs who have helped develop and successfully implement strategies which have transformed their companies or significantly improved their competitive positions leading to sustainable growth, profits, and shareholder returns.
The criteria employed by the judging panel included excellence in areas such as corporate governance, performance orientation, vision and strategic change, leadership and talent management.
In accepting the award, Mr Tan said that his priority at ST Engineering is to create an ecosystem that supports creativity for 22,000 employees allowing them to put “smartness” into their work.

In 2010, Mr Tan was honoured as one of the Asia Leaders and the Asia Leader for Singapore by Platinum Circle. He also received the CNBC Asia Talent Management Award in 2009.
