iDirect To Participate At First VSAT Latin America Conference

iDirect speakers will provide insight on the growing opportunities for satellite in the Latin American region and the latest VSAT technology innovations

Herndon, Va., July 2, 2013 – VT iDirect, Inc. (iDirect), a company of VT Systems, Inc. (VT Systems), today announced it will exhibit at the first annual VSAT Latin America event taking place from July 2 to July 3, 2013, at The Grand Hyatt Hotel, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The purpose of the conference is to draw in satellite operators, service providers and end users, across vertical markets, to discuss the increase in data traffic throughout Latin America, global trends and issues when implementing VSAT networks, and the impact of emerging High Throughput Satellites (HTS) on VSAT technology. iDirect is a world leader is satellite IP communications technology.

    • iDirect’s Senior Systems Engineer, Alex Goncalves, will present at 10:00am on a session called Evaluating the Evolution of Emerging VSAT Vertical Markets in Latin America. He will address the impact of emerging VSAT technology in the cellular backhaul, utilities, oil & gas and maritime industries.

  • iDirect’s Sales Manager–LatAm, Darren Ludington, will speak at 2:30pm, at a round table session called Interactive Panel Discussion – Banding together – Ka + Ku + C =? He will examine the different multi-band satellites that are available, and present how each one plays a role in a VSAT network.
  • iDirect’s Systems Engineer – LatAm, Diego Gonzalez, will lead a Global VSAT Forum HTS workshop that presents key innovations in ground infrastructure that will help service providers prepare their networks for HTS.
